11-year-old boy assaulted in Crewe park

An 11-year-old boy has been assaulted in Queens Park in Crewe.

The youngster was by the lake when he was pushed off his bike and assaulted by a group of boys yesterday afternoon at around 3.15pm.

He was taken to Leighton Hospital for his injuries to be assessed.

Inspector Amber Hodson said: “There were plenty of people in the park at the time, and I would urge them to contact police if they saw anything but have not yet spoken to us. I would also appeal to anyone who recorded the assault on their phones to send this to us to help us with our enquiries.”

Three boys, all from Crewe aged 14, 15 and 16 have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
