£3.8 million refurbishment plan to bring town hall back into use

Historic Tunstall Town Hall is to undergo a £3.8 million pound refurbishment.

It has been vacant for around twenty years, but it is being brought back into use in a bid to attract more people into the town.

It will house council staff, a children's centre, local centre and library.

The public will once again be able to access the hall through the main doors and be able to use the beautiful sweeping staircase to the first floor.

Previously only the ground floor has been used.

Building contractor GF Tomlinsons have successfully won the contract to do the works which is set to start in the New Year.
