Appeal for information on how woman suffered 30cm leg injury

Police are appealing for information about an incident at an event in Stafford which left a young woman with a serious wound to her leg.

The 21-year-old woman was at Tillington Hall Hotel on Friday 20 September, when she received a deep cut to the rear of her right leg at around 11.20pm.

The cut was around 30cm long and required surgery.

DC Sarah Pritchard, of CID, said: "We're carrying out enquiries into the incident which includes examining CCTV and speaking to people who attended the event. However, we still need anyone with any information relating to the incident to come forward to help us with the investigation.

"The victim sustained a very serious injury and we're keen to find out how and why it happened."
