CCTV footage released of hit and run

CCTV has been released of the moment a 70-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police have shared the footage, following the hit and run in Smallthorne last month.

Officers say the pensioner was involved in a collision with a car on the Brownley Road junction with Community Drive at 10.20pm on Thursday 16 January.

The vehicle, believed to be a silver Vauxhall, failed to stop.

The man suffered bruising and a broken thumb and was taken to hospital for further treatment.
