Ex-Stoke player hands over cheque to Donna Louise

Former Stoke City player Andy Wilkinson has handed over a cheque worth nearly £22,000 pounds to the Donna Louise Hospice.

He and his brother Gareth raised the money after running the London marathon last month.

The pair completed the 26 mile race through the streets of the capital in what turned out to be record temperatures on the day.

Andy, who was forced to retire from football with a brain injury, was inspired to take on the challenge after visiting the Trentham Lakes hospice for the first time during his spell with Stoke.
