Man charged with false imprisonment and attempted robbery

A man has been charged with offences including false imprisonment and attempted robbery, following an incident in Stone.

Officers were called to an address on Sycamore Road at 7.50am yesterday (14 May) to reports of intruders at a property. 

Karta Slack, 29, of Brookwood Drive, Meir, appeared before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre this morning, also charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and obstructing/resisting a constable in the execution of his/her duty. 

Slack was remanded into custody, and is due to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 17 June. 

Detectives are still appealing for witnesses, and are asking anyone with information call 101, quoting reference number 105 of 14 May.
