Man cut free from vehicle following collision in Crewe

A man had to be cut free from a car after a collision in Crewe in the early hours of this morning (October 2).

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service say that shortly before 5.30am firefighters from Crewe were dispatched to reports of an incident on Broad Street.

On arrival at the scene the crews discovered that a car had collided with a parked vehicle and the driver was medically trapped.

Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle and release the casualty.

The man was then passed into the care of paramedics.

A fire service spokesperson said the crews were detained at the incident for approximately 40 minutes.
