Police want to trace next of kin of Crewe man following serious collision

Police are appealing to the public to help identify the next of kin of a man involved a serious collision in Crewe.

John Snape sustained serious injuries after he was involved in a collision on West Street, at around 7.15am on Thursday 12 December.

The 75-year-old lives in Meredith Street in Crewe.

Sergeant Andy Dennison, from the Serious Collision investigation unit said: “The investigation into this collision is ongoing and we are continuing to appeal for anyone with any information to get in touch.

“As part of our enquiries we are keen to locate John’s next of kin, at this stage despite our best efforts we have been unable to trace any of his immediate family.

“We know that John has lived in Crewe for a significant time, but there is also information that he may have lived in the Preston and Blackpool areas and possibly may have family there.

“I would urge anyone who can help with our enquiries to get in touch.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 586414.
