Shop worker attacked during Crewe robbery

Detectives are investigating after a shop assistant was assaulted during a robbery in Crewe.

Police say they were called to a tile warehouse in Oak Street at 5.40pm on Monday (11 March), to reports of cash being stolen.

They say two offenders entered the store via a fire escape and demanded money from a shop assistant.

The pair then assaulted him and fled the scene with a quantity of cash.

"I would urge anyone with information to contact me so we can find those responsible.”

The two suspects are both described as wearing dark clothing with hoods up, and both had either a scarf or balaclava covering their faces apart from their eyes.

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 344341. Alternatively information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 800 555 111.
