Two arrested as man stabbed in taxi

A man is in hospital after being stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police say he was in a black seven seater Fiat taxi in Sefton Road Normacot when he was attacked at 8.15pm last night (3 September). 

He was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital with serious injuries. 

A 39-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 44-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit grievous bodily harm. 

Detectives are keen to speak to witnesses who may have witnessed or have information relating to the incident. Anyone with information or CCTV should call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 748 of September 3 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
