Two men charged after armed police deployed to Newcastle incident

Two men have been charged in connection with an incident, which saw armed officers deployed in Newcastle.

They were called out to Apedale Road in Chesterton, around 11:30pm on Saturday night (14 September).

Jake Pettifer, 22, of Birch House Road, and Callum Weaver, 26, of Applecroft, have both been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Pettifer has also been charged with harassment.

They appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre this morning.
