Two men charged with drug offences following vehicle stop

Two men have been charged with drugs offences after a car was stopped and searched in the Northwich area.

A 29-year-old man from Liverpool, and a 24-year-old man from Stretford, were arrested after a vehicle was pulled over on King Street in Rudheath at around 1am on Thursday (7 March).

They have subsequently been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class A (heroin and cocaine).

The 29-year-old has also been charged with possessing a controlled drug of class B (cannabis).

They appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (9 March), and were remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 8 April.
