Watchdog to investigate after pedestrian dies following collision with unmarked Cheshire Police car

The police watchdog has been asked to look into the death of a pedestrian, following a collision with an unmarked Cheshire Police car.

It happened on Warrington Road in Penketh around 7.20pm last night (3 February).

A man died at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing at this time.

Cheshire Police says in line with normal procedure the incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
