Woman dies following car park collision

A woman has died following a collision on a car park in Stoke-on-Trent.

Emergency services were called to B&Q in Meir Park just after 2.45pm yesterday (1 October) to reports of a collision between a blue Ford Focus and two pedestrians.

Emergency services, including air ambulances, attended the incident.

One of the pedestrians, a 67-year-old woman from Leek, died on arrival at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

The second pedestrian received minor injuries.

Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dash cam footage to contact 101 or email CIU@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk, quoting incident 422 of 1 October.
