Stoke Potters captain Tom Perry finished third in the Golden Hammer meeting at Wolverhampton last night.
The Potters number one was in second place in the final but came to grief attempting to go wide into the dirt in order to get past ex-Potter Max Clegg.
It allowed Clegg to take the title with Nathan Greaves coming through into second place with Perry remounting his bike to finish third.
Joe Lawlor also rode in the meeting and was looking good for a final place after scoring 8-points from his opening rides but a heavy fall in his fourth ride after he locked up saw the Potter withdraw from the meeting.
It was the last time the two riders from Stoke took to the track before the club officially closes at the end of the season.
