Stand-in skipper admits they're in relegation battle

Stoke City's Joe Allen says the club are in a relegation battle following Monday night's defeat to leaders West Brom.

The Potters remain bottom of the table, six points adrift of safety.

Stand-in skipper Allen, says: "I didn't want to say were are in a relegation scrap, people might say I shouldn't say, but its important to have that mindset, but we can't let the pressure get the better of us."

Stoke head to relegation rivals Barnsley on Saturday, desperate for a win heading into the international break.
