Vale boss pleased with performance

Port Vale boss John Askey says he was pleased with his side's performance despite a 0-0 draw at Notts County.

He made four changes with Mitchell Clark, Luke Hannant, Tom Conlon and Luke Joyce replacing James Gibbons, Ben Whitfield, Cristian Montano and Anthony Kaywho dropped to the bench.

The result leaves the Valiants in 20th place and maintains a five point gap over County who remain bottom.

The Vale are back in action on Saturday when they entertain promotion chasing Mansfield.
