Vokes in as Crouch moves on

It was a busy transfer deadline day at Stoke City.

Striker Sam Vokes has joined from Burnley.

The 29-year-old Welsh international has penned a three year deal.

Manager Nathan Jones said: “Sam is a player of real pedigree, he has been promoted from this level and he’s an experienced international and Premier League player.

“To get it done is something totally different to anything we have and we think he’s a marquee player for this level.

But Peter Crouch has ended his seven and a half year association with the Potters by moving to Burnley.

He has signed a deal until the end of the season.

Striker Tyrese Campbell has gone out on loan.

He has joined League One outfit Shrewsbury Town.

Erik Pieters has also left - he's joined French club Amiens.

Cuco Martina has returned to Everton from his loan spell at the bet365 Stadium.

The 29-year-old defender made 18 league and cup appearances for the Potters.

He has since joined Dutch outfit Feyenoord.
